For the past year or so, I’ve been living in Las Vegas, and to be quite honest, I haven’t enjoyed it very much.  For the most part, that’s due to personal reasons, but I’ve also found that there’s a bit of a lack of community in Vegas gyms compared to the ones I’ve trained at in the past.  That might sound surprising given the enormous amount of talent here; I could spend an entire article listing the names of great powerlifters and bodybuilders who live and train in Vegas.

As cool as it is to train with amazing lifters like Joe Sullivan and Jared Feather, talent isn’t the backbone of a great training crew: accountability is.  Accountability means showing up, day in and day out; pushing yourself to the limit; staying positive; and training smart.  And it means helping those around you to do the same.

Now, training crews are dying all over the world; in-person teams have been replaced, to a large extent, by social media and online coaching.  I think that’s a shame, and I’m enormously grateful to the ones I’ve had the chance to train with in the past, at Generation Strength, Unreal Fitness, and Hyde Park Gym.  And I want to train with more.

Now, in 2024, I’m shifting my focus entirely to bodybuilding, and so I want to train with the best bodybuilding crew in the world.  And, in my opinion, that means training at MI40 in Tampa.  I’ll be moving there next week, and starting my pro debut offseason right after the Olympia.  I couldn’t be more excited about and grateful for the opportunity, and I hope you’ll follow my progress on here and on Youtube and Instagram.
